Word on the Street

From Doug Moore

God is at work in the San Antonio Metro. We are in the process of developing a grassroots movement of advancing the Gospel where people are salt and light for Jesus where they live, work and play. Just as Jesus came to earth as ‘God in the flesh’ in John chapter one, we use an incarnational model of living among our pre-christian friends. We have a strong emphasis on identification as Paul modeled in I Corinthians 9. “…but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempt to lead those I meet into a God-saved life…” (Message). Lastly, we are intentional about our desires to advance the Good News. We understand that getting the Good News out will not ‘just happen’. We feel strongly ’sent’ into the world of our pre-christian friends here in the San Antonio area.

A movement of advancing the Gospel among the lost takes a lot of time, a lot of sowing and a lot of praying. Relationships are key.

From Doug Moore

Please pray for: good seeds from our sowing, patience and faith on God to cause the seed to grow, and our unity of purpose and desire to have an growing intimate relationship with Jesus.

We are in the process of identifying those who want to partner with us as stakeholders. Then we try to be available to coach them individually in their own environments. We are also identifying those who already are and have the potential to be ‘movement leaders’ in the San Antonio area. Please pray regarding the spiritual warfare being faced by the current stakeholders and movement leaders in San Antonio.

We need a more clear means of communicating and understanding the biblical word ‘church’ as it relates to our culture.
